About the performance
The performance tells a story about 28 days of the female cycle – about the processes that women undergo, about biology and how women are perceived through the prism of the cycle. And everybody knows that even once heard that her behavior is controlled by hormonal changes. Each of which was diminished only because she is a woman. Anyone who has experienced violence for the same reason.
The director Kamila Siwińska poses in her performance questions: To what extent is a woman determined by biology? Where does the hormone dictate end? Does biological determinism affect men and women equally? Can the female hormonal cycle and the legendary male testosterone justify socially condemned acts?
– What about you? The period you have – do you know this sentence? Then watch „28 days” !!!
