Dziób w Dziób
The spectacle speaks in a clever and interesting way about how senseless and irrational the rules that govern a closed group are, and how valuable openness to others can be. Striving for truth, even uncomfortable, and tolerance brings more benefits to everyone than the ridiculous, in fact, devastating war.
About the performance
The „mighty” band of backyard pigeons intends to declare a war of „bloodthirsty”, spreading terror among birds, Kotka Dolores in the name of revenge and the peculiarly „honor”. Pigeons accuse Kitten of the death of her leader Janusz, although they have no definitive evidence of her guilt. The small one, condemning the pigeons to doom, is opposed by little Wróbelek Przemek, who is trying to join the gang. It seems that as a sparrow, so for pigeons someone strange, standing in their bird hierarchy much lower – there is no chance. And yet, thanks to his cleverness and courage, he finally manages to convince himself the unfriendly pigeons at the beginning and everyone benefits from it.
Dziób w Dziób performance was awarded in 2013 in the Theater Arts Competition for Children and Youth organized by the Children’s Art Center in Poznań. The show has been recommended for 10 years old viewers and older.
