About the performance

Jan Mosdorf’s biography is based on contradictions: an anti-Semite rescuing Jews, a brilliant doctor of philosophy engaged in a brutal political activity, the creator of a fascist movement opposing Nazism, a man in times of political threat abandoning his ideological companions to later give his life in defence of others.

Can one prove to be a decent individual in a critical moment when confessing an ideology based on exclusion and violence? Is it possible to bring human views and deeds – especially when they contradict one another – to a common denominator? Does every biography consist only of black and white?
